Senior Support Engineer

Passlogix is looking for experienced Senior Support Engineers to be located in our Manhattan or Long Island offices.

Skills and Performance Factors

• Strong understanding of enterprise computing, security, PKI, directory services, authentication, encryption, identity management and PC software and utilities,;
• Expertise in configuration, deployment, and administration of Windows 2000/XP/2003 architectures;
• Experience with enterprise LDAP directories such as Sun Identity Manager, Novell eDirectory, Microsoft ADAM, Microsoft Active Directory, and Tivoli Identity Manager
• Outgoing, self-starter, self-organizer;
• Ability to create relationships with high levels of trust and credibility;
• The ability to set high goals for yourself and can work well with others to achieve them.

Experience & Job Requirements

• 4+ years relevant technical support, programming, system integration experience in the computer industry for another vendor or technology consultant or inside a Helpdesk/MIS department at a large institution;
• Enterprise deployment experience, a plus;
• Microsoft certifications, a plus;
• Directory experience (LDAP/AD)
• Knowledge of IIS
• Experience with Citrix products a plus;
• Script or other programming knowledge, a plus;
• Knowledge of deployment technologies a plus

Key Responsibilities

• Provide timely and accurate technical support to customers, VARs, partners and other entities as per support agreements and requirements;
• Populate and deliver Support metrics and reports;
• Continue to drive customer support satisfaction;
• Document and track customer issues
• Troubleshoot and resolve customer issues, documenting the troubleshooting process and escalate where appropriate
• Develop tech notes, solutions, product tips, FAQs, and other knowledgebase materials;
• Interact with QA, Engineering and Sales Engineering teams to ensure timeliness, technical accuracy and quality of support;
• Develop in-depth expertise on Passlogix products and products of complementary software partners, such as Citrix, PKI vendors (Entrust, VeriSign, Baltimore, Keon), directory service vendors (Novell, Netscape, Active Directory), etc.;
• Serve as backup to Sales Engineer when necessary
• Develop appropriate documentation, training materials and templates to support field engineering forces, including VARs and partners
