Strong Authentication to Applications

Many organizations are looking to improve security and mitigate risk by applying strong authentication (e.g., smart cards or RSA SecurID tokens) to applications, as well as networks. However, enabling applications to accept strong authentication is impractical-many applications can not be modified to accept strong authentication and other applications require costly and time-consuming reprogramming.

v-GO Authentication Manager* enables you to extend the benefits of strong authentication to applications without requiring applications to be customized or modified.

How It Works

v-GO Authentication Manager authenticates users via your selected strong authentication system and automatically maps the identity to the correct id/password for each application. It then automatically injects that id/password into the application. Users never know or type an id/password.

Going far beyond current password security practices, v-GO can 1) hide application passwords from the user, 2) make the passwords as long and complex as the applications can accept and 3) change passwords frequently, even after every logon, if appropriate, enabling you to move to one-time passwords for most or all of your applications.
