v-GO Single Sign-On

v-GO Single Sign-On securely stores users’ application usernames and passwords on their behalf.  Employees only ever log on to Windows.  As they launch each of their applications, v-GO Single Sign-On automatically logs them on with the correct username and password for that application.  Employees gain quick and secure access to their applications so they can do their jobs effectively.  Organizations increase security by enforcing proper password management and reduce help desk calls by eliminating forgotten passwords.

v-GO Single Sign-On can be installed on organization-owned client computers and made available on demand from a web portal to any client computer.  As a result, users have application access from anywhere – corporate desktops, home machines or remote offices.

v-GO Single Sign-On also manages computer kiosks, such as are typically found on hospital floors, manufacturing facilities and retail stores.  It provides users fast logon and logoff of kiosks and enables kiosks to instantly switch between multiple user sessions at the same time (“fast user switching”).  In these fast-paced environments, users gain rapid access to their applications.  User sessions and applications left open on unattended kiosks are automatically shut down by v-GO Single Sign-On, which is a critical step in compliance with many government regulations.

Administrators can easily deploy v-GO Single Sign-On into their existing infrastructure without integration or a large deployment effort. v-GO Single Sign-On can use virtually any LDAP directory, Active Directory or any SQL database server as its central repository. v-GO Single Sign-On can accept user authentication directly from the Windows logon and works with most industry-leading smart cards, proximity cards, biometrics and token solutions.

How it Works

v-GO Single Sign-On's patented technology intelligently detects an application’s logon prompt by looking for that prompt's unique attributes. Those attributes might include visible attributes such as a Window title or web URL and other invisible attributes.  It uses these attributes to properly identify the application.   v-GO Single Sign On then responds to that application prompt by directly inserting the proper username and password into it.  Although the details vary by application platform, v-GO Single Sign-On functions in the exact same way across Windows, Web, Java, mainframe and Unix/Linux systems and applications.  v-GO Enterprise Single Sign On automatically interacts with applications without requiring any programming, scripting or integration so you can start reaping the benefits of single sign-on in weeks - not months.

When it comes to single sign-on, v-GO Single Sign-On is the proven solution for hundreds of customers with thousands of applications.
