Fast User Switching

In many industries, such as healthcare, retail and manufacturing, kiosks re widely deployed.  But too often users walk away from kiosks without logging off, potentially exposing private or sensitive data to unauthorized users.  This poses a potentially serious security and compliance risk.

Solution

v-GO Single Sign-On provides full kiosk management capabilities.  At the kiosk, it prompts each user to log in to an LDAP directory, such as Active Directory.  This logon is much faster than a traditional Windows domain logon.  v-GO Single Sign-On then retrieves that user’s credentials, application definitions and settings.

The user can quickly log out of the kiosk when the work is finished.  If the user doesn’t log out, v-GO Single Sign-On detects that the session is inactive and automatically suspends the session.  It can keep multiple user sessions active simultaneously, so that the user can return to his or her work without having to restart a new session.  If the user doesn’t return after a period of time, v-GO Single Sign-On automatically shuts down any open applications and logs the user off.
